Monica's cross-country road trip started out strong. I picked her up directly from the airport and we headed from Ohio through Kentucky, Indiana, and into Illinois. For the night, we stayed with Laura who toured us around the Northwest suburbs of Chicago starting out at Portillos with their juicy Italian beef sandwiches. We then hit up the Korean part of our adventure presenting ourselves as the only non-Asians at a Korean bar where we tried the tasty Korean drink, Soju, an alcoholic yogurt drink and then crashing a Korean karaoke b-day party complete with tambourines and green tea cake. Ah, Chicago.
